Sunday, 10 December - Christingle

ChristingleOur Christingle Service starts at 4.00pm.

Each piece of the Christingle holds special symbolism to help children understand  the importance of Jesus and the Gospel, and its relevance at Christmas time.

Christmas at St MarysThe orange represents the world.
The red ribbon (or tape) symbolises the love and blood of Christ.
The sweets and dried fruit represent all of God’s creations.
The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness.

This is a short celebration of Christmas which all the family can enjoy!

Please invite your family and friends to this lovely start to the Christmas Celebrations.

An offering will be taken up in support of Haven in Romania's Children's Day Centre in Piatra Neamt.

If you would like to help us make the Christingles, we shall be in the Choir Vestry at 10am on Saturday, 9 December. I know some of you like to contribute to the cost of making the Christingles; I shall be happy to receive your gifts.
