Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Christmas Shoebox AppealThe Christmas Shoebox Appeal (Operation Christmas Child) is now underway again.

The aim is to bring God's message to disadvantaged and needy children in parts of Eastern Europe and Central Asia through gift-filled shoeboxes. Leaflets giving detailed information are available from the back of the Church and the Lounge. GO boxes, which are ready-made, will be available to buy from Reception for 50p from this Monday.

All boxes should please be back in church by Sunday, 12 November (Remembrance Sunday).

When life ...'When Life gives you Lemons ...' looking at some of Samaritan's Purse charity work - not just Christmas shoeboxes - with guest speaker, Lois Momoh

- the day Includes lunch and time to relax together.

Tuesday, 31 October - Martin Luther

Martin Luther at Wittenberg31 October this year is the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg. This is taken as the effective starting point of the Reformation.


To commemorate the occasion Tony Rees will be giving a talk and leading a discussion on Luther in the Old Church on this Tuesday at 7.30pm.
 

 

Saturday, 11 November - WoW 'Going Deeper' Breakfast

This breakfast session starts at 9.30am at The Rectory in Queens Road.

Time for sharing together and looking more deeply into some of life's challenges!
