Freedom in ChristFor anyone who missed our first Focus Day on 24 June, or who would like the opportunity to repeat the prayers and the process, we are running a repeat from 9am to 1.30pm on Wednesday, 16 August.

PrayerWe meet on the third Monday of each month to pray for church members and church activities, but also for other matters of concern all around the world

Tuesday, 22 August - Celtic Contemplation

Celtic ChurchWe gather to create time and space for silence and meditation, as we learn to become attentive to God, ourselves and one another.

We are pilgrims who are seeking to walk the way of the Christ through the
rhythm of the seasons, simple liturgy, and our own hearts.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm in the prayer chapel at the back of the Nave. During August, if we are not at the Parish Church, we will be found in the little garden at the back of the old church. We plan to meet on the following dates: 8 & 22 August, 5 & 19 September.

You are welcome to join us or just pop in for a moment of peace.

Tuesday, 31 October - Martin Luther

Martin Luther at Wittenberg31 October this year is the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg. This is taken as the effective starting point of the Reformation.


To commemorate the occasion Tony Rees will be giving a talk and leading a discussion on Luther in the Old Church on this Tuesday at 7.30pm.
