At 10.30am there is an Interactive Contemporary Service
 … recalling the first Good Friday.

The service will include Holy Communion.

Saturday, 14 April - YWAM Prayer Meeting

Nathan Nov17Everyone is invited to join the Monthly Prayer Meeting for Nathan Edgell and Alex & Jessica Bryant (from the Gospel Chapel) who are serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) on the other side of the world!

YWAM's motto is Know God, make Him known. Nathan and Alex have been involved in many different projects to engage with that aim.

We are meeting from 9.30am until 11am in Room 2 for this month. We start the meeting with tea and cake!

Public Leadership: Be a Voice for Good

Discover how Christians can be voices for good in the media and in politics, and how to be a voice for God in our community. Click here for more details.

Speakers from Evangelical Alliance include Director of Advocacy, Dr David Landrum, Public Leadership Coordinator, Abi Jarvis and Advocacy and Media Manager, Danny Webster.

PrayerWe meet on the third Monday of each month to pray for church members and church activities, but also for other matters of concern all around the world. Everyone is invited to join us at 7.30pm in Rooms 3&4 ...

Sunday, 22 April - APCM

EasterThis year’s Annual Parochial Church Meetings (APCM – or AGM) are on Sunday, 22 April, following the 10.30am joint service.

Everyone is welcome to attend the APCM, but anyone who would like to vote or stand for election to PCC (our Church Council), must be on St Mary’s Electoral Roll; this is different from the Church Directory booklet.

Being on St Mary’s Electoral Roll is one way of showing you identify with our people and teaching. If you are not already on, but feel part of our church, please do consider completing a form to add your name to the Roll. If you have recently applied to have your name added, or changed your address since last year, please check your entry on the updated Roll at the back of the church or in Reception and complete another application form or change of address form if necessary.

Antiques Roadshow

A morning with Colchester's leading
Valuers and Auctioneers, Reeman Dansie
(of Antiques Road Trip & Flog It! fame).

From 10am until 12pm.

Valuers will be on hand to give specialist valuation
on all your antiques and collectables!

Refreshments will be available throughout the morning.

A voluntary donation of £2.00 per item is suggested - proceeds to St Mary’s Church.

Belsey Bridge Conference Centre
on the Suffolk-Norfolk border and will take place from
Friday, 18 May until Sunday, 20 May.

St Mary's PCC has agreed to underwrite fees for any under 16 year-olds and
for children's work helpers, to encourage and help families to be part of this special experience.

There will be separate teaching programmes for both adults and children,
in different parts of the conference centre.
We shall also be enjoying excellent food!

Lead by Rev Don Smith & Mrs Karen Smith, in association with ‘Tours for Churches’, we shall explore the spiritual heritage of this beautiful country focusing on Christian Art, Architecture and History.

Tour cost; £1,396 per person.
