Summer Lunch-time Concerts
Every summer, for seventeen years so far, there has been a series of Thursday lunch-time concerts at St Mary’s. The performing musicians are of a very high calibre, and attract audiences from many miles around. The experience is enhanced by the beauty and atmosphere of the church building.

Donations are collected at every concert, profits going to different charities each year. Over £35,000 has been raised in this way, beneficiaries including St Helena Hospice, McMillan Nurses, Hewitt House mini-bus appeal, R.N.L.I., Alzheimer’s Society and Clacton Stroke Club. The current project is raising funds for a new grand piano to replace the present aging one!
Buffet lunches are also available in the church hall, preceding the concerts.
