Tear Fund
Tear Fund is well supported in our church. Its role is to ‘serve the needy in our capital city, with compassion, pursue justice and peace, and care for God’s creation’. Tear Fund is part of the ‘Disaster Emergency Aid Committee’.
We permanently have a table selling Tearcraft cards and goods in the Link Lounge of our church, with all proceeds going to Tear Fund. Every aspect of their work is underpinned with prayer by its supporters, and our own Tear Fund prayer meeting is held bi-monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month at 2.30 in the church centre.
Poverty crushes hope and destroys communities - person by person, child by child. But the story doesn’t end there. Why? Because of local churches. In the midst of devastating poverty, you’ll find dedicated Christians serving God through prayer, practical support and a commitment to true transformation.
