Sunday Groups

We run three groups for children/young people on Sunday mornings during the 11.00am service – Noah's Ark for under 3's, Splash for 3-7 year olds, and The Grid for 8+ year olds.

Every Sunday, during the 11am contemporary service, babies and toddlers may go out into the Noah's ArkLink Lounge adjoining the church for a crèche activity time. There are all sorts of toys available for those old enough to play.

Parents, grandparents and other helpers take turns in looking after the children. Carers may choose to remain with their child, or to return to the church service. If the child becomes upset, the carer will be invited to return to the crèche area to comfort the child.

SplashSt. Mary’s Church has a child protection policy, which is implemented at all times, with all the leaders and volunteers being DBS checked. All children and young people are welcome to join our groups. We promise fun, Bible-based teaching and a safe and comfortable environment, for both regular attenders and those who have never visited a church before.

The GridOur Sunday Groups use Scripture Union material, to plan fun sessions for the children and teenagers based on Bible stories and designed to encourage them in their daily lives with God.

After the 11am Sunday Service we usually have various games happening for the Children and Youth while the parents have tea or coffee. On every third Sunday of the month we have SPORTS SUNDAY. On these Sundays the programme runs as normal during the service, but we then have the sports hall to play football, volleyball or other sports until 1pm.

You are very welcome to join in with your child, but please don’t feel you have to.
