Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Action Group is a team of people from our church family, who will visit at home, offering practical support and, where appropriate, Holy Communion and prayer, if desired.

We aim to provide confidential care to those with family problems, to children, single parents, those in debt or with addictions, living alone or bereaved, and those unwell at home or in hospital – any who are trying to cope with a significant loss in their life and where a quiet talk and prayer may help.

HomeSt Mary's has four lay chaplains visiting at both Clacton and Colchester hospitals regularly every week, currently Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  If you, or someone you care for, is in hospital, please let us know and we shall be pleased to visit, pray and offer such encouragement as we can.

If you would like to know more, please contact the Rector via the Church Office

Wednesday GroupThe Wednesday Group

Our Wednesday Group meets every Wednesday morning in the Church Hall from 10.30am to 12.00 noon to offer the opportunity of meeting others, who may be living alone, for a chat over a cup of coffee.

A hot meal is served on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 12.15pm to 1.30pm and on the second Wednesday of the month a light cold lunch is provided from 12.15pm to 1.15pm.

Transport to the Wednesday Group can be arranged and you will be made very welcome.
